1. Unwrap the plastic from the AAA batteries that were included with your scale.
2. Ensure the batteries are seated inside of the compartment in the correct position.
3. Set the scale on a flat, hard and even surface to ensure proper measurements. (Do not use this scale on carpet.)
4. Allow for the scale to warm to room temperature for optimal measuring accuracy.
