My tare knob is no longer working
Place your bowl onto the cradle while taring. This will help the gears inside stay in contact for proper functionality. Note: do not turn the knob too far counterclockwise otherwise the needle assembly will come unmounted and drop inside of the scale enclosure.

The dial cover has fallen off
You can typically reinstall the dial cover without any tools. This will fit over the display area similar to a lid.
