Operation
Before using your thermometer for the first time, remove the insulating tab which is placed between the battery and the battery terminal in the battery compartment to prevent power drainage during shipping. Also, be sure to remove the protective probe cap from the end of the probe and remove the protective display film from the display.

1. Press the POWER button located on the front of the thermometer to turn it on. When the thermometer initially turns on, it will show all units of the LCD display for approximately two seconds before displaying the measured temperature.

2. The unit of measure is preset at Fahrenheit. This can be changed to Celsius by pressing the C/F button located below the POWER button.

3. Insert the probe into the item that you wish to take the internal temperature of. The internal temperature will be displayed on the screen. For accurate results be sure to insert the probe into the center of the thickest part of the meat. 

4. After the measurement has been taken, you can turn the unit off by pressing the POWER button. If you forget to turn the unit off, the auto-off feature will automatically turn the thermometer off after 10 minutes.

CAUTION! The stainless-steel probe can get very hot. Always wear heat-resistant gloves when handling.
