1. Allow the scale to warm to room temperature for optimal measuring accuracy.

2. If the model is SCDGPC13 (RL136), use the included power supply to power on the scale. If the model is SCDGPCM13 (RS136), use the included power supply or a 9-volt battery to power on the scale.

3. Once the scale is powered on, press the "UNIT" button to change to your desired unit of measurement.

4. Place an item on the scale's platform to weigh. Note: Do not exceed 13 lbs or 6 kg as this could damage the load cell.
