Quick Start Guide (DHR1 / DHR2)
- Peel off the screen protector film from the display.
- Remove the plastic wrapping from the batteries that are included inside of the display unit's battery compartment.
- Insert batteries into the battery compartment and ensure they are seated properly. Close the battery compartment.
- Slide the on/off switch located on the back of the unit to the "on" position.
- Select the "cook" or "timer" option by sliding the switch in the direction of your desired mode.
- Switch to Fahrenheit or Celsius by lightly pressing and holding down on the 'S/T' key until a second beep is heard.
- Plug the probe into the right side of the display unit. Ensure the probe is completely plugged in. "LLL" may be displayed as the current temperature if it is partially plugged in.
- Select the type of meat you are cooking by pressing on the 'M/M' key.
- If available, select the doneness of the meat by pressing on the 'S/T' key.
- To set an alert temperature, press and hold the 'S/S' key until alert temp is flashing.
- Set the alert temp by using 'M/M' key to raise the temp or 'S/T' key to decrease the temp. Press S/S key to confirm.
- To enable or disable the alert temp alarm, press on the 'S/S' key. (The word "ALERT" will appear above the alert temp. If the word "ALERT" is not visible; the alarm is disabled)
