Thermometer is no longer powering on
The battery level may be too low. Try replacing the old batteries with a new set of AAA batteries. Ensure the batteries are in the correct position.

The temperature reading is too high
The lens of the probe may be dirty. Clean the lens with a cotton swab. If the unit was taken from a colder room, allow the thermometer to come to room temperature before use.

"Er1" code appearing on the display
The ambient temperature is not in the operable range.

"ErC" code appearing on the display
Memory error or calibration is not finished. Item will be turned off automatically after 3 seconds.

"HI" code appearing on the display
In-ear or forehead mode, if the temperature is greater than 109.2 degrees Fahrenheit (42.9 degrees Celsius).
In object mode, if the temperature is greater than 199 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius).
