1. Press ON/OFF button to activate. The unit will beep and display "188.8" for about 2 seconds. (To switch between °F and °C, hold the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds when powering on the thermometer.)

2. After the thermometer powers on, the last temperature taken will be
displayed with an “M” in the lower-right corner.

3. When “Lo” displays with °F (°C) flashing, the thermometer is ready for temperature measuring, but if the room temperature is above 90°F (32°C) then room temperature will be displayed instead of “Lo”.

4. The beeping will sound when temperature measuring is complete.

5. Press ON/OFF button to power off the unit. (The unit will automatically power off approximately eight minutes after completing the measurement.)

Taking an Oral Temperature Measurement
Place the probe tip under the tongue, breath through the nose and keep the lips closed. Approximate measuring time is 1 minute.
